Do you want to offer a better user experience with your directory categories? A more organized view would help. Your visitors will like a better design as well. Get all of these with our Enhanced Categories module. There's more!
Let's take a brief look at what's inside the module. You'll love to know what it can do for you!
Two operation modes: The module adds 2 modes for displaying the categories on your directory site. It puts you in the control.
Using this module, you can display all the parent categories and sub/child-categories on the directory home page. The visitors can then click and browse any category (parent or child) right away. It's a mode option for you to choose from.
In the other mode, only the main or parent categories are shown on the directory home page. Users can go through all the sub-categories by opening the parent category in the first place.
Category images: The Enhanced Category module enables you to add thumb images to your categories. This way, it makes the category listing more appealing. Also, it's helpful for the users to get a quick idea of its content.
Not only adding images, but you can also apply your custom sizes for these thumbs. This makes sure that the thumbs fit your directory style guide.
Default category hierarchy for listing items: Do you want your list submitters to choose the child categories only? Don’t want to accept submissions directly in any parent category? This option offers you the ability to decide.
You can force all the listing submissions to belong to the child categories only, instead of any parent category. Or, if you want, you can offer the submitters the flexibility to pick a parent category as well. You’re in the control. Do whatever works best for the site.
Number of category columns to use: Display directory categories in up to 5 columns on your directory home page. This option is useful when you have many categories and want to present more in each viewport.
The Enhanced Categories module comes with self-describing settings options that you’ll find straightforward. If you want to learn more about how to make the best use of this module, please see its documentation. Also, we have a post-purchase FAQ page in case you have been wondering!
